Apologies for my oh-so-generic title.
These were so fun to do. After die cutting I cut the skates again in silver shine. They are a bit more grungy than the photo shows. They were inked with gray and tea inks. Then 24 mini eyelets were set and Irish linen thread was used for the shoe laces. I sketched the seam on the heal of the boot and pierced with Pergamano piercing tool and hand stitched each skate around the laces and heel. I then cut the blade off the white skate and adhered to the shimmer skate. Crinkled some seam binding from Joann's and added a few MS pine sprigs and holly. Finally hand stitched around the card and added the tiny sentiment.
Thanks for looking.

Nancy, this is BEAUTIFUL!! Love how realistically you depicted the ice skates....right down to the cord lacings. Great bg DP and "frosty" looking bow/foliage accent. Love your card.

What a super creation, Nancy. I thought those laces looked like the real thing. You made them that way. And, the stitching around the heel is just perfect. Your ribbon treatment finished it off in such a lovely way.

What a special card, Nancy! The eyelets and thread laced through them and sewing make this a work of art! I don't think I could bear to part with this one!
