I could not resist this image from Impression Obsession by Dina Kowal although it was a bit challenging to color. The image was stamped, then scanned to print in low quality. It was then colored with copics and pencils and lightly sponged the edges with distress inks. The background is free digital paper entitled "Heirloom" from scrapbook.com. The starburst is a brush from scrapgirls.com. I added a bit more black and gray by sponging the edges. It was hand stitched. I found a flourish on the internet, printed it on ink jet acetate and traced and pierced it for stitching. Wasn't sure doodling would count if done with a needle.
Thanks for looking.

WOW! No wonder your cards take a long time, each one is a masterpiece!! Nancy I would not be concerned with how long it takes you to make a card. Each is so beautiful! This one is no exception. I thought you had actually used hay or burlap for the inside of the manger ... your coloring looks so real! Great job girl!!

Fabulous...and creative....and inventive, Nancy. Your coloring is spot on and I LOVE the texture the twine gives as a basket/straw. A treasure for some friend this year! Your cards are always TOP-NOTCH!

What wonderful details, Nancy! The image is colored so perfectly and the paper behind with the starburst is perfect! I LOVE all that stitching. I'm in awe! Can't sew a straight line much less a flourish! Beautiful!
