I combined the inking of the leaves with the smooshed flower technique. I like smooshing leaves with my flowers but they don't usually have as much pigment so they look a little washed out. So I added green ink to just the leaves and did the smooshed flower technique as I usually do. It really helped bring out the leaves. I used MOJO310 sketch and used drywall tape and lace for the skinny vertical panels. I used the scraps of the smooshed flower to make a matching bookmark. The sentiment was stamped on using Mark's Finest Papers set called Welcome Poppies and black stazon ink. This card and bookmark are going to a friend from church who is going through a tough time right now.

Great idea to combine the two techniques. I was reminded of the smooshed flower technique as I was making my prints. Your leaves look beautiful. I especially like the bookmark panel, and they look so nice with the bg paper. I'm sure these will bring cheer to your friend.

I was thinking, as I put my leaves through the BS this morning, of how often I see you using the smooshed flower technique, so I was sure you'd enjoy this challenge.

Wow! Love the soft look you have here. I will have to look up that smooched technique. I tried using a Black-eyed Susan with my leaves but it wasn't having any of it! Great matching set. TFS
