This card was definitely a learning experience. I finally got around to trying the masking fluid I bought at least 6 months ago. I have long admired the snow effects people achieve using this stuff. I flicked it on white card stock with an old toothbrush. I retired my current one prematurely! :-) I let it dry and sponged dye ink (SU Not Quite Navy) all over it. I stamped the trees with white pigment ink but hadn't let the background dry enough and the trees turned light blue. Maybe I should have used embossing powder on them. That's the learning part I'm still working on. They look a little buried in the night. Then I rubbed the dry masking fluid off and revealed the 'snow'.
The sentiment is from Magenta and was heat embossed in silver. The image panel was matted with a mirrored silver paper and blue. Going to try this again for sure!
