First I made the back ground using distress ink over my craftsheet , water and I just put over the watercolor paper and smudge it around - Flicked some more color and when I was satisfied with the background I cut my self the sun rays from an acetate paper, then I put over some modeling paste.
Flower is made from GAUZE (NOPE, Heron was not the right translation!! Thanks Sabrina!!). I colored the yellow one using distress ink.

Yay! You got it fixed and added some more sunshine to the gallery.
I enjoyed reading your book page ;-) - we've been watching the Inspector Montalbano series on DVD and I was able to pick out some of the Italian on your card.
I don't think heron is the right translation, LOL - that's a long-legged bird. Gauze ? like in a first-aid kit?? Or muslin (mussola?), which I buy for using in the kitchen, for straining things, now I think I should bring some up to my craftroom...But whatever it is is fabulous, especially with that button in the centre. The loose weave and frayed edges are lovely with your splashed and spattered background.
