The image is from a Christmas card. The background was done by smearing ink on the craft mat, spritzing it and dragging the paper through it. Gesso was added twice to tone it down. Thanks to one of SCS challenges this has been my favorite technique for backgrounds. An oval was cut and the image was mounted behind it. Thanks for looking.

Gosh - that's a technique I use a lot but I've never tried the added gesso. Going to try that - thanks for the tip. It looks amazing, a great frame for your recycled card.
