It has been a few weeks since I have played in the CAS Challenge, this week's challenge is to be inspired by the song, "Butterfly" by Little Mix.
On Bashful Blue card I stamped with the canvas bg stamp. I attached the vellum sentiment, using brads, to blue c/s and adhered to early espresso c/s. I had hoped to have a lovely rectangle frame by using my new Big Shot and Spellbinders Lattice rectangle but, despite running through machine a few times (and adding wax paper) I didn't get a perfectly clean cut. Frustrated, and deciding not to completely waste the c/s, I have attached the vellum sentiment to a part of the die cut!! Any suggestions re getting a clean die cut would be most welcome!! I have no problem with my plain circle & oval dies. The butterfly is a sticker.
TFL!!

Such a "so true" quote, Sue. Your butterfly sticker is SO realistic that it looks like it just landed on your card. Sorry for all your die cut problems...sometimes I think it is just the die. Do you use a thin metal shim as well? I have a CB and that helps many times.

What a gorgeous design for this wonderful snippet of poetry! Awesome work, Sue.
I've had this same problem with some of my new Spellbinders' dies. I have had the most success by running it through my Cuttlebug once and then rotating the paper 90 degrees and running it through again.

Pretty mix of elements! Sometimes the warping of my cutting pads affects the cutting too so I have to flip them over and try again. The metal shim has helped me out too.

Beautiful. should be placed on a wall as wonderful artpiece. Love how you useed the sticker butterfly....I have doen that too, some of them are so gorgeous , like this one.
I know what you mean as well. MY mom told me about the waxs paper thing and maybe add a thin EXTRA piece of paper, might help cut it deeper. Hope this helps...Thanks for sharing..:0)

What a pretty butterfly. Love the vellum and the punched borders.

Such a pretty card with the lattice edges and that lovely quote (a favorite!)..your butterfly is the perfect accent! I recommend a metal shim as well..also rotating the die and running it through a few different ways..and the wax paper, too....you're not the only one ;)
