Of course, I don't have a good selection of crayons, and wasn't sure if I wanted to pull out the iron for my workshop. But I loved the look of her background with the simple Good Things Grow on top. So pretty. So then I decided maybe I could try Shaving Cream technique (and bothered people on the forum about that). But when I tried it the first time, it didn't achieve what I was hoping it would. Plus, the initial one I did was way too bright and...not right. So, I decided against that for now (maybe I'll do that technique in April). Then I tried putting Heat and Stick all over my cardstock and putting a bunch of Pearl Ex on it. Disastrous...might work, but the way I was going about it was ALL WRONG and it looked terrible (and wow does H&S smell bad).
So finally, I decided I'd try Dazzling Diamonds Dust, b/c I'd just seen some gorgeous things done with it. And it worked! All I had was Hologram Highlights, but it still shines really nicely! Phew...

very nice, I am still confused as to how you got it to look green..can you tell me what you did? You brayered on the green before doing the hologram highlights??
thanks!

Yay! A comment! I'm new, so I crave comments and approval....
I took a piece of white cardstock, and then I brayered in all 3 colours all over the cardstock a lot til I liked the look. I brayered in Certainly Celery first to get a base of green, and then in Old Olive and Taken With Teal in various patterns to try to get both colours in there somehow. I'm sure you could have done it a lot less complicated and just brayered with one colour, or sponged with colour, but I spotted my brayer and decided to have fun. I really wanted both the Teal and the Olive to appear on the same cardstock, like StamperSharon achieved with her melted crayon -- so that's what I came up with! Then I versamarked the whole piece of paper and poured on the Hologram Highlights and embossed!
TFL!

;) Admittedly, I'm a comment ho who gets so excited about people's creations and is so busy bookmarking them, she forgets to comment on them as well... If only people knew...(sadly, you can see my obsessive bookmarking at http://del.icio.us/lenoreo).
