I just had more fun than I think is legal !!! I am ever so slowly working my way through the Dare to Get Dirty challenges but there was no way I was missing out on Teapot Tuesday.
This week we are tickling a fellow Teapotter. Faith (yabbadodo) has given us a fun story about Hazy and Lazy. We have to bring summer fun and games to the girls.
Anyone participating in DTGD will recognise a few challenges here. If you don't know and if I tell you, I will have to kill you, so it's probably best if I just tell you about the construction of my card.
"Beates" Stair Step is my all time favourite fold (I hear some of you laughing). This has 3 sets of steps (made like normal, I just made the cardstock wider and added extra steps). Best of all it fits into a DL envelope (business letter size).
Our teapotter Jennifer (mother'sdaughter) sent me lots of gorgeous diecuts and lovely Peggy (jasonw1) sent me a pushbike die.
Young Hazy and Lazy started out life as digi images by Sassy Cheryl. Their little outfits are paper pieced. I used copics for heads and hair. I still can't shade properly so I swooshed some distress ink through their hair. Origionally I tried to watercolour their hair....I think I over did the amount of water and Hazy's head fell off....so I started again and will leave watercolouring for another day.
Thanks for looking. I am very happy that Lazy and Hazy are going to a Teapotters home. I forgot to say, the centre wall at the back is actually a little card to write on and then place over the back step.

OMG!! Susie, you have outdone yourself with this wonderfully adorable card! I am in awe of this very sweet summertime creation! Hazy and Lazy are adorable in their paper pieced outfits! And you have used all of your gifted die cuts so wonderfully! I hope there's another swing, cuz I'm ready to soar!

Lazy and Hazy are about the cutest thing I have seen in awhile (although headless Hazy is still a picture I am trying to get out of my head). Love the idea of these two swinging thier little hearts out all the way to some teapotters house! You create the most amazing scenes using very little but ending up with SO much..I have got so I look forward to Tuesday just to see your latest awesome creation!

Wowsers, there just isn't any words to describe this amazing card! I adore the scene that you've created and the time that you took to pull it all together! Awesome use of die cuts and I love the girls' gingham, paper pieced sweaters! Although I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Hazy and Lazy...it made me sad to hear that Hazy was decapitated! Yikes! Thanks, so much, for playing along in the DTGD challenges, Susie!
