I'm not sure what this says about me but I actually had all the supplies for this on hand. Maybe I spend more time in hardware and art stores?? I've used the metal tape before and had a lot of fun with it. I first covered a piece of thin chipboard with buttons, magic mesh, and various already cut chipboard shapes. I then randomly applied the silver tape as shown in the video. I used an old gel pen that didn't work any more (I don't have a stylus) to go over outlines and add dashes and lines. I applied black paint and rubbed off a lot. Next I added highlights of the copper metallic paint. I added some thin gold wire along the top which may be hard to see. Hope you like it..I enjoyed making it!

WO, Polly!!! You sure are the adventurous and creative one!!! I can't believe you had all of the supplies on hand. I like the mesh parts and how you chose to rub off the black paint. Very cool!!

Great execution! I'm a fan of hardware stores for supplies, as well - you just never know what will strike as inspiration! I should go try my hand at this technique, I suppose... Love your card!

Brava for you, Polly. I don't have the supplies...and probably won't run out to get them(I have too much "stuff" as it is).....BUT your card is incredible and really makes a stunning and out-of-the ordinary presentation.
