This week's CAS challenge is a color challenge featuring: Sahara Sand, Calypso Coral, Primrose Petals and White. I started out with a popsicle card in mind and wanted to add some drips on my card base....well, my drips kinda got out of hand so I added some more and made it into a card all its own! I used the lid of my ink pad with a really wet brush to load up my spatter then flicked and dripped onto my Whisper White base using the 3 colors. I then stamped my sentiment then colored it in with markers. I used a Sahara Sand marker around the edges of each letter also to add some depth to the sentiment. I didn't have any ribbon in the featured colors so I took a piece of Whisper White Organza and dragged both the front and back sides across my Calypso ink pad. Then I poured a little rubbing alcohol onto it to even out the colors-it dries super quick that way (I'm too impatient to wait!) I used it to tie a cheater's bow: I cut a piece of ribbon a couple inches longer than your cs; tie a loose knot then push a short piece of ribbon with angled ends through the knot and pull it tight, adjusting your "bow" as you pull. These "bows" lay nicely and save ribbon because you don't have to waste ribbon across the back side. I notched my corners with the ticket corner punch and used a base of Sahara Sand. Hope you'll have a chance to play along with these fun colors...can't wait to see what y'all come up with!

This is a fantastic celebratory card, Gail! Love the splatters and the tip on the bow making! I avoid bows like the plague, so this may be worth a try! LOL!
