WooHoo it is that happy time of the month where we tickle a fellow teapotter. This week we are having pool parties, street parties and lots of summer time fun.
Dotty's girlfriends are already in the summer fun spirit, sipping bubbly and lounging by the pool in their new seasons swimwear. Dotty on the other hand has flown in from Australia where it is winter and her husband is away. Consequently Dotty has let herself go a bit - honestly you could plait the hairs on her legs......oh hang on.... that's me, cancel all that personal info about Dotty.
I learnt the Happy Dance since becoming a Splitcostian, I have made some very, very special friends here. I got this Dotty stamp at a recent craft camp during the "buy, swap and sell" session. I traded a fish for Dotty!! She reminded me of a funny character here at SCS called Nana Bannana created by Susie aka paperpunchscissors. Lovely Peggy (jasonw1) sent me this beautiul pushbike die and the fence was sent to me along with some other treats by Jennifer (mother's daughter) following our last teapot tickle. Beautiful Kathleen Lammie send me some bakers twine that would have looked great here, sadly it is hiding (probably with my sewing machine power cord that I still haven't found). In short, this card has lots of sentimental value and I am very happy it is going to a teapotters home.
My copic colouring is coming on very slowly, happily I am managing to stay between the lines now. I paperpieced Dottys outfit and the girlfriends swimwear is also paperpieced. The gorgeous pushbike from Peggy is attached to the card by using brads. The little basket was a bit tricky to attach to the bike, so I glued it to Dottys dress LOL.
The festive banner is made from Websters Pages pom-pom ribbon. There are three trees on the back step of the card. One tree would have been enough, but I think a fellow teapotter would enjoy this new tree die I purchased from Cottage Cutz.
Liquid pearls and some stickles have been added here and there. The grass was made using MS fringe scissors and then hand trimmed. All of the fussy cutting edges have been inked in Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress ink and in case you are wondering the black under Dottys arm was entirely accidental and in no way represents her personal grooming.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week everyone.

Dottie doing some interpretive dancing I think the mark on her arm is a tattoo. Fabulous details down to the flowers in the basket. Happy card for sure.

Saludos my darlings, and you know who you are! C'mon lets mingle. So nice to see you. Throw your hips into the air like Ginger and Fred Astair! You know I don't say this to everyone, but, Dotty, "You looook marvelous!" Especially doin' that happy dance! *Bwahaha*
Susie, this card IS marvelous and funny! You have just created your first character! Love the new bike and fence die, the twine, and all the rest of the lovely treats you've used on your card. What FUN (and that's what this should be). Now, darling, let's tango!
Love and laugher,
