This is my second card for Ky's fun MIX21 Brilliant Pastels challenge. I was making a background with the strongest colours in my H2Os, and after brushing each colour I was just drying the brush off with a piece of kitchen towel, and afterwards the paper looked so good I couldn't throw it out. So I Mod-Podged it onto some white card, and then gessoed over it. When it was dry I embossed it (computer problems, my list of embossing folders is not accessible, but I think it's Constellation), and also a spare piece of kraft with an aperture already cut in it. I added a Memory Box silhouette, and a HA sentiment cut with a Spellbinders tag.

How lovely! the toned-down sky really shows up against the neutral card. Love it!

I totally love this, i thought it was an unusual background as it looks sooo soft and texture-y. Awesome idea to modge podge the paper towel to cardstock, then emboss it...I would never think of that! Am faving this for future use!

Don't you just love it when your scrap piece of paper becomes the center piece!? Sabrina I love this especially with the silhouette against it. Fabulous card for sure. TFS :0)

I love that you actually looked at the towel before tossing it! It made for a terrific background. Love the kraft card base all embossed and stitched. Great card!

Love the use of Kraft here against the colors and the embossing really kicks it up a level. Another wonderful card from you!

WOW! Sabrina, your sky is amazing!!! I am going to have to start wiping my brushes off too! I usually just plunk them in the water container. I think it is so cool the way you used the gesso and Mod Podge and then embossing!!! Genius!!! So glad you share your talents with us!!!
