Ann's (annsforte3) VSN challenge was to use a sunset or sunrise, include a star, and make the card for someone who is a star in our life. I made this card for Verna the dear friend who gave me this large oak tree stamp. She is also generous in sharing her stamping knowledge as well as her encouragement. This is the first time I used this stamp. Will have to work with it more when I have time.
This is the best I could do for a scenic card in a rush. I'm not happy about the line between the sunset colors and the blue sky. I had tried this first with a watercolor wash bg which looked nice, but the tree image lost all its detail when I stamped on the wash. (Yes, I did let it dry first.)
Otherwise, I think it's kind of pretty. I almost forgot about adding a star and was about out of time. Doing the star border in green was a quick fix. No one will know it's an afterthought, will they? Ha!
