Sabrina (Cook22) asked us to make a flip flop swing card for her VSN challenge. I thought this was going to be really hard, but once I figured it out, it was fairly easy. I'll make more like it.
This is actually my second card because I apparently misunderstood the measurements the first time although I thought I did everything right. I did make a mistake on this card, by starting out with a piece of cs 1/4 inch narrower than the instructions. But I understood the concept by then and just made adjustments so it all came out okay.
I was surprised that I was able to line up my bg stamp without using a Stamp-a-ma-jig. I laid my card on an inky spot on my work paper and smudged the back, so I stamped two little birds on the back.
I inked the main image with brown and green, stamped, then used a colored pencil to add some light orange. The dove under "Life is nothing without friendship" is stamped very lightly so I can write over it.

Val, this is just beautiful. I love birds . Yep, I was surprised how easy it was to stamp the background, though I chose a stamp that didn't have to match.
