Instead of a z fold, I used a cheapskate format. Really. It's in my project file as the cheapskate card... and while Jill had doggy rules, I put in quilters' rules, which are computer generated.
The Rules of Quilting
1. DonÂ’t Bleed on the Quilt.
2. Measure Twice. Cut Once.
3. ItÂ’s Not a Mistake. ItÂ’s a Creative Opportunity.
4. There are NO Quilt Police.
5. Rules? There are Rules?
It occurs to me that the quilters' rules might also apply to cardmakers.
Many thanks to Sherry (Kushabella) who shared her quilt die. I used masking tape to do an inlaid die cut trick with the quilt block, and the fleur de lis nestie cut is embossed over burlap.

Oh boy you did a fab job with that die! Love the paper you used, and I am very partial to the fleur des lis die - them quilters rules sure could be card maker rules. Nicely done.

What a neat card. I have to remember those rules...I now have inspiration for another card to make for my daughter. I feel doubly honored that you cased two of my cards into your card.

You are hilarious! Love your quilted card and I didn't know there were rules, either! :-)
