I'm posting another work in progress... this is sort of the theme of my life lately - unfinished projects... but I wanted to show you how I used paper strips to build up the coffee cup image on this 12"x12" canvas I'm working on. The base of the cup is a double-stick redliner sheet, and I just grabbed scraps from my stash, laid them down parallel to each other, and sketched the cup shape myself, based on a template I drew a few years ago, and cut the whole thing out at once.
The rest of the canvas is layers of acrylic paint, stenciled caulking (another homemade stencil I made with chipboard and various circle dies, and stamping. I know what words I want to put on the canvas and how I want to finish it, just haven't gotten there yet.

Ah, Dina, your work always evokes a WOW! from me. This is awesome as usual. I love the coffee cup and the collaged bg is fantastic; can't wait to see the finished piece!

Dini, this is really great! Gorgeous mix of color and pattern. Looking forward to when you decide what it needs to be considered "finished." Looks pretty finished to me right now!
