A new journey for me for today's Way's to Use It challenge - I don't think I've ever stamped a card and then coloured/painted outside the lines on purpose. But I've been inspired by the many talented artists here on SCS and in blogland and I'm experimenting with a "loose" style. Stamped the butterflies using masking and Stayzon before watercoloring, spraying with water and splattering with paint. Then used some inks along the edges. Finished by adding jute twine and a vintage button.

Coloring outside the lines goes against everything we've been taught since 1st grade. However, who'd have thought it could be so pretty? Beautiful card!

You have done a lovely job on the card. It is hard to go against what we have been taught in school, but now I just love distressing and using sprays etc.

Beautiful card. I remember the first SU class I attended. The demo said it was fine if we colored outside the lines -- I still have a problem with that!!! Must be that OCD of mine. But your "loose style" turned out gorgeous.

Watercoloring outside the lines softens the look, and this is a perfect example, Bridget! Stunningly beautiful! Love the splatters...art worthy of framing for sure! Hugs!
