The sketch challenge turned out to be a clean and simple inspiration for me. I tried to keep it as simple as I could (not an easy thing for me to do). I just can't resist the urge to add 'just a little bit more'! LOL In keeping with my New Year's Resolution the flower and banner use scraps. It is a spellbinders die that I hardly ever use (another promise I made to the New Year's Fairies this year. The border folder is from Stampin up.
Note to Peggy ~ Since you asked..the little 'tick' marks on the background are made with a dressmaker's wheel.

Gosh, that flower is beautiful - I love the layers in it!
The crisp white border is so lovely too. This is one very elegant card.
I met the woman who co-authored the lace book at a party last week, and subsequently emailed her a few photos. She thinks it's most likely Limerick tambour lace, but without seeing it in the hand she can't be sure, and it might possibly be European.

This is such a pretty card. I love that border, and your flower is gorgeous. Nifty Idea to use a flower instead of a circle. I love those golden yellow tones, against the white bg. and the black center brings it all together. Just beautiful. tfs.
