In a few months my nephew and his gorgeous wife are expecting their first baby. I don't know if it is a boy or girl, so I need to get organised. I made a girl version of this card quite some time ago ( Baby Girl Coveralls by susie australia at Splitcoaststampers ). I must say girl cards are sooooo much easier to do than boy cards LOL.
First job was to cover two pieces of cardstock, I used different dp's for front and back. I then used a wooden template dress for this design, simply traced around it, altered the shoulder line a little bit and converted the "dress" into overalls like I did on the girl version. Precovering the cardstock is the trick to keeping this simple.
The card is held together by tying ribbon through punched holes at the shoulder. I will write the message on the very back of the overall (not the inside).
Before doing faux stitching with Tim Holtz distress ink pen I lightly sanded all the edges. 3D foam has been used to raise the pockets and a little foam dot raises the buttons even higher. Thanks so much for looking.

Pretty amazing! I would not even attempt anything like this! I went to see the "girl" version. OH MY Goodness, how adorable! I love the little boy look you have created. I remember when my boy was a toddler... all the cute stuff was for little girls. My boy wore lots of overalls and T-shirts. This card brought back lots of memories for me! Love it..

Susie, this is so sweet, I could hug it! Especially like how it ties together. Genius!

Stinkin' ADORABLE and love the added dimension. Doesn't look like you struggled at all with a boy vs. girl card on this one. SWEET!
