What an interesting site for today's Inspiration Challenge! I was inspired by this Embroidered Tote. The bright colors and patterns and layout of the tote translated into what you see here. I went w/ cool colors instead of the hot red.
The images and dies are from Our Daily Bread designs. After stamping the hyacinth twice, I colored one entire image and just the hyacinth on the other using Copic markers. I fussy cut the single hyacinth and popped it up on top of the base image. The sentiment was stamped inside the banner area of the image after it was colored. Some highlights were added using a white gel pen.
The Quatrefoil pattern was die cut out of grass green card stock and attached to a cobalt blue panel. I stamped, colored and cut out a couple of butterflies and attached them on either side. A few tiny pink and fuchsia gems were added to the hyacinth. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Beautiful and so much detailed work on this lovely card! I love the die-cute background and that beautifully colored hyacinth. I'm thinkin' we all have Spring on the brain, lol. This just pushes me over the Spring edge! Love it!

Hyacinths are my favorite bulb... so I love the image, just for starters. I love how you have framed it with the dies. Perfectly colored, just gorgeous!

The added dimension is so perfect for the hyacinth - they're such strong, blocky flowers in real life so it echoes that perfectly. And the colours are just beautiful. I love the way you've used the butterflies from Faith.
