The poppy petals, leaves and background were colored using Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils.
The flower centers were colored with the black StamperÂ’s Big Brush Pen from Faber-Castell using water and artist brush for application.
The Perfect Square from Perfect Paper Crafting was used for cutting out of the box image. I cut to the image on both sides then cut around the image with scissors.
-The Perfect Layers tools were used to cut the borders. I used a craft knife for this card, a rotary cutter also works but not when youÂ’re working with out of the box images. When the out of the box image is in my cutting path I cut to the image on both sides with the craft knife and use scissors to cut the area under the image and in this case the image has a larger space which I keep as support to the image layer. If you need a visual of what I explained you can see a photo this direct blog link, scroll down to the third card.
The ruler sizes used were 1/16” for the black and orange borders, ½” on the left which allowed for three embossed lines using the Scor-Pal and ¾” on the right which allowed for a single embossed line and the punched design from EK Success .
The punched design was also punched in black so I could inlay the flourish pieces with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue. The flower center is a gem attached with Paper Glaze.

I always love your creations Roxy and this one is no exception. It is stunning. The black combined with the red and green really makes this card stand out. Your water colouring on the image is beautiful. What a shame that image is no longer available because it is perfect for cards.
