This weeks CAS challenge is the chalkboard technique. I have seen many different samples out there and many of them are although fun and beautiful, may not be so CAS. I wanted to use this technique to make a CAS card. I might add, that I had limited supplies to use. I went on vacation before I found out what this challenge was, and took what I thought would cover most any challenge. I was able to pull off a card, but had I been home with ALL my stuff the card may have been different....but then again I may have not had such fun thinking through how to use what I had. And I did have fun with this challenge!
I stamped the sentiment and added the stars, then drew a "border" with my TH picket fence pen. I had brought one 6 x 6 paper pad, so cut out the chalkboard image, used a cup to draw a circle from my chosen piece of DP,(no die cuts with me), and added a strip of a coordinating piece from the pack as well. When I did the chalkboard piece, I decided I liked it with no embossing...looked more like a chalkboard...I even smeared it a bit!

You had a double challenge, but pulled it off so well! Love this colorful design! Congrats on your DT position! Can't wait to see more of your creativity!

Adding the color to the background was a great idea.
