What a great site for the inspiration challenge to-day. This black and white bracelet http://www.madewell.com/madewell_cat...6981/36981.jsp reminded me of those chalk board cards I have been seeing lately. The butterfly stamp is from Close To My Heart and is rapidly becoming one of my favourites. Only part of the stamp is embossed with white to give a sort of interesting look. I added some gold studs at the corners, cut some Mikes DP with a hexagon Spellbinders die and distressed the card and die-cuts with walnut distress ink from Mr Holtz.

I think you did a fantastic job with the chalkboard technique here on your card. That certainly is a lovely butterfly with hearts in place of dots and I love the visual interest of the hexagons.

, it's funny - I did my soot stamping because I'd seen some chalkboard that I actually thought was soot stamping. I hate white EP, so soot is a good option for me, but I can see you have no problems at all with white embossing. I like the hexagons too - must use mine more now I've finally caved in.
The lace in my photo - I really don't know what style it is. It's a sort of collar/shawl shape piece that came from my grandmother's house, so it's old but that's about all I can say for sure.
