When life gives lemons, make lemonade, right? That is the long saga of this card. The teapot Tuesday challenge for last Tuesday was to make a card to help Eeyore get to the balloon festival - then send the card to Bill who will be in isolation for 100 days and will need something to brighten the days. Well, I saw so many great balloons and other related cards in the gallery, but I could not get inspired.
I am (NOT) getting used to a new computer and printer, and I neglected to click on the size image I wanted - out came a full 8.5x11 hot air balloon - definitely too large. I am pretty notorious for not throwing things away, so I decided to use it any way. I cut the page in half, so here you have the top half of the balloon, folded - the other half is on the back of the card. I hope this will make Bill smile. (DH just told me he would not get another like this LOL!)
I used the week 3 sketch at Verve. The sentiment has been separated from the set - it might be Verve.

OMGosh! I love that your mistake made this gorgeous hot air balloon card! I think its one of the cutest cards for this challenge! And to think you covered the back of the card is extra special too! I'm sure it will be one of a kind like your DH said, but also a FAV of Bill's!

Well it's never to late for a tea party at least in my mind that is. I love the creativity of your huge balloon, what a cool idea to wrap it around as well. Cute sun in the corner. Thanks so much for sending Bill some smiles, I'm sure he'll love this as much as the others.

Dorothy, this might be the only balloon actually big enough to carry Eeyore! Great job! Love making lemonade out of lemons too....

Now why didn't I see this back when you posted it?! How neat, that you brought a balloon big enough to carry all of us Teapotters!! I love it! Funny thing is, I've done this before! I'll be sure to look for this giant balloon when we have our Hat Air balloon festival in June!
