Judy's challenge today was to use the Puzzle Piece Resist technique. Well, I've been looking at this ever since Beate did the tutorial, but sometimes it takes a challenge to nudge me from thinking to doing.
A2 base.
I used a woodgrain stamp, inking it with brown and embossing. Then it's sponged with more brown, while the butterfly is yellow and the bird is something along the lines of a nuthatch. I added a ribbon, some foliage and a button. I'd like some more foliage in the top corner, but have a sick husband in bed and am trying to catch up on housework too...
This reminds me of an article in a National Geographic many, many years ago about how the markings on moths adapted - when tree bark became progressively mottled because of pollution, the moths also became more mottled to blend in better.
Thanks, Judy...and Beate!
