Not so long ago, a man friend of my hubby REALLY blessed us with a very kind gesture... we were in need of a simple thing, and this fellow helped in an extraordinary way.
While I do love lodge style things, I figured this style was also suitable for a manly card too. I made this card for the kind man who helped us.
I first printed the digital image MOOSE from Doodle Pantry onto 90 lb. Canson watercolor cardstock.
I watercolor using Tombow markers and a waterbrush.
I first colored the Moose head and allowed it to dry completely.
Then I created watercolor trees all around him. The trees aren't part of the image, so I sort of had to guess what those looked like, and I really didn't want the trees to be the main focus anyway, so I tried to make them more washed-out/watered down.
I didn't have a pine tree die, so I hand cut the shape to fit the left side of the card.
