While looking for something for my other card in the mix challenge, I came across some extra die cuts that I had cut, along with a stamped and brayered piece of card. The stamping was slightly smudged but I kept it anyways (I might be a hoarder!!) Out came my mister and spray ink and voila a whole new background. Once dried the first round, I blotted the paper again in the residual ink on my craft paper and dried it. I did this a few times and got a neat pattern of shiny ink on the background. I painted the cage black (it was white originally), and painted and sprayed the bird as well. I inked the edges of the card to make it pop a bit more. The inside reads: "to live happily is the inward power of the soul"

Something tells me you had a lot of fun making your background with your 'hoarded' scrap! Love all the interesting layers you achieved with stamping and ink.
