This is the first time I've tried a Mix-Ability Challenge.
I used text from an old book on both the background shape and the heart.
I used red marker and a water pen to color the heart then outlined it in black prismacolor pencil and pulled the color in with gamsol and a blending stick, which is what I did on the background shape.
I put crystal lacquer on the heart, and then because I'm impatient, I used a heat gun and found out that wasn't too smart because it bubbled up.
I see where this could be fun....with a little more practice!

Really a striking card, Doni. The black sponging on the edes really gives a dramatic, antiqued feeling. Love the white flourish die cut for that "pop".
Oh you did a great job on this card. I love how the heart looks. Yes I am not the most patient person either! I made two cards and the second one I used masking fluid and waiting for that to dry kills me!
