Here's my tag for my Mixability Book for Jeanne S's challenge to Resist. Since emboss resist was old hat, I went with the Acrylic Resist technique that Jeanne posted in the challenge. It definitely works better with Glimmer Mist than the Gelatos, although the effect is still pretty cool with the Gelatos (perhaps, I'm biased?)
Stamp: Chevrons (not sure of its real name) by Hero Arts - NEW @ CHA Winter
Paint: Traditional Tan Studio Paint by Ranger
Ink: Mallard & Rum Punch Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels, and my title is done with a Violet Big Brush pen by Faber-Castell. The "notes" are also done with a Black Pitt Pen. I love how they both just write right over anything!
Because Tiffany kept playing with those new Gelatos, I had to pull out the ones I got at the Faber-Castell Winter CHA class that I've been hoarding from the Tropicals set that isn't available yet. Oh, you evil woman, you, who keeps taunting me with those gelatos that I LOVE and cannot have!!! Just a few more weeks... I can do it...
The book is a Multi Media spiral book from Canson, and the pages are very nice and thick. I used water to blend the Gelatos, and it didn't even go through the paper at all.
I buffed all of the Glimmer Mist and Gelatos with a dry paper towel. While the Glimmer Mist definitely allowed the resist to pop through, I'm liking the subtleness of the Gelatos, as well.
