I began this card on Monday for the *Play With Balance* TLC challenge. Started with a scrap of DH's marbled paper. I stamped and embossed the image at the bottom, deliberately leaving a large open space. Decorated the open space on the word with zentangle-type doodling. Replaced the tiny flower and leaf with a much larger (and glittery) heart and leaf. Filled the V (vase) with crystal effects. I was stumped on how to finish the card until I saw the new Mix It Up challenge on Friday. Used a scrap of glossy black with the Tasteful Trim die for the finishing touch. Shiny (heart, leaf, trim, embossing and crystal effects) and Matte (white base, marbled paper, doodling) balance with BIG (trim, heart flower) and small (image to background ratio, flower to image, and Tasteful Trim to main image and smaller chevrons).
The marbled paper is a complicated and intricate process. I tried the marbling, but wasn't very good at it. I'm not enough of a perfectionist. Here is a video on
