Another week that I have the privilege of being a guest with the wonderful Our Daily Bread design team. The challenge this week is to make a project for a child - and the sweet Noah's Ark set was just perfect.
All the details of the challenge, and the DT cards can be found on the Our Daily Bread blog HERE.
I like interactive cards for kids, so I made a pop-up inside, and on the front the elephant's trunk can me moved around.
INSIDE:
A2 base, Bazzill Card Shoppe.
For the sky, I took a piece of white card, sketched in the rainbow and coloured it with H2Os, then masked it and sponged the clouds in with Pumice Stone distress ink. I stuck this to the back of the card before adding the pop-up tabs. The ark was stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black and coloured with distress inks - mustard seed, wild honey, brushed corduroy, vintage photo, walnut stain, tea dye, frayed burlap, tattered rose, weathered wood, pine needles, pumice stone. I stamped the wave part of the image again a couple of times on the same cardstock as the base on a long strip of card, sponged it with Broken Chinea and then added my cut-out ark in front of it.
Sentiment is from Be Joyful, cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags.
The front of the card can be seen HERE.

So cute! Love the pop-up ark and all the wonderful colors! And how cool is it that the elephant's trunk moves? What kid wouldn't get a kick out of this?
