My second week as a guest with the wonderful Our Daily Bread Designs team - this week the challenge is Border It - to use a border to dress up one or more edges on your card. You can find the challenge and all the deatils on the ODBD blog HERE if you would like to play along.
I used Sing to the Lord (one of the earliest sets I bought), and Be Joyful for the sentiment.
This is an A2 card.
Main image and sentiment both stamped on heavy vellum with StazOn black. I coloured the bird on the back of the vellum with Couleur d'Art pencils. I used Spellbinders Victorian Border Piercabailities to cut and emboss the bottom, and pierced it. (Enlarged detail in bottom right of photo).
The sentiment was cut with Fancy Tags and sponged with Picked Raspberry, and I added some pearls.
The white card base was stamped with the dogwood several times using masking, also coloured with pencils.
I laid the vellum over the white card and punched through both layers so that I could use ribbon to attach the vellum, and then I added a little ribbon rose onto the grosgrain ribbon.

What a gorgeous creation Sabrina!! I love the vellum - and your amazing coloring of the bird. It's such a soft and delicate look with the background showing though at the bottom, and a great way to tie everything together. Beautifully done!!!
Blessings,
