Roses, yes, but fingers too!!
I found some lovely tea-towels that reminded me of some Echo Park paper but then I couldn't find the gingham I was sure I had, so I went looking again and found this gorgeous Deco Rose oven mitt. It made me think of Roses in Winter straight away, and I love the colour scheme.
In real life you can't, in my opinion, beat knitted Nomex gloves or gauntlets, but pretty they ain't!
A2 black base.
Roses in Winter stamped on white card with Festive Berries, Tattered Rose and Soot Black. Edge sponged with red.
Stampendous sentiment stamped with roses while in the die, edges sponged with red, layered on a scalloped oval and popped on on foam dots.
I added an organza ribbon (no black grosgrain :-() and a little red rose. I think this will be a good February birthday card.
Be back later - I was working on a problem on DH's laptops for a couple of hours and I'm cross-eyed, time for a break!

That oven mitt had Rose in Winter written all over it!!! Your card hit the nail right on the head. I like that you changed up the rose on the oval panel a little bit by making it more pink than red. Beautiful job, Sabrina.
