I was so delighted to see the mini blind tutorial in the Inkling this morning. When I was tidying up my hard drive over the holidays I found a link to one that I had never followed up. Time to rectify that - my dad's birthday is this weekend and he loves to watch the birds through his big picture window - which has a blind!
I used Bazzill for the base (next time I think I'd just use a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece, and mount it on the front of a regular card base), and some old MME papers I am still trying to use up for the rest.
The little bird is WhipperSnapper, coloured with distress inks.
I added little beads to the ends of the ribbon, to add some weight so that they hang nicely.
Maybe it's time I finally caved and bought a window die!!

What a cute idea and should be simple enough even for me, ha, ha. Think I'll try this for my usband's Valentines Day card. TFS, great job on the vid except it ended quite suddenly.

Haha, your Dad and mine must be like good buddies - bird watching was one of my Dad's favorite things to do - they loved in the mountains and he had birdhouses all over the property!!
Your card turned out so sweet!! The papers you chose are so bright and cheerful and coordinate the blind with the wallpaper very well! Yup, maybe you need a window die!! Hugs!
