The challenge for Queen this week is to make a card for yourself as queen. That's a tough one, but they ARE supposed to be a challenge. Right? I have to tell you that I LOVE my cards and I figured this was going to take a long time, so I started looking and almost immediately remembered that in Feb of 2011 there was a challenge that had us make a card for a dream we had. My card was to visit a castle in Scotland that was somehow connected with my ancestors. This is the card I made.
Several people asked me to show "the rest of the story" if it happened, but after our vacatioin I got caught up in playing catch up and you know how it goes. But I DID see the castle in Aug of 2011 and here is proof. That's ME standing in front of it.
I printed the photo on a textured matte photo paper and standed it some. Then I stamped the Tim Holtz tree (stamp made from die and fun foam) with Archival Jet Black stamped off twice onto Basic Grey Aged and Confused that had a green look.
I added gold embossing powder to the edges of the tree and photo and popped up the tree. Passport is a sticker. The picture looks rough, but the memories are great.
