I bought some cheap box frames in a local discount store thinking they'd be fun to use as shadow boxes .
This one I sanded, then painted with several coats of gesso and two of white acrylic, and then stamped with a snowflake in Versafine Smokey Grey.
The background photo is a close-up of ice crystals from a couple of years ago when we had exceptionally cold weather and heavy snow - they've always reminded me of trees.
All images are from Merry Crittermas, stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks. I left little tabs on their feet so I could stick them to the frame. If I'd had enough Polar White Flower Soft left I'd meant to add that for snow on the ground, but I didn't have enough, and didn't have enough time to try to DIY it with styrofoam.
