An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

Lately my e-mail has been overwhelmed with bits about RFID (radio frequency identification) and what you can do to protect yourself. So I got thinking.. and these little packets are what I came up with. Apparently anything foil can help deflect unwelcome intrusions (kinda like wrapping your head in tin foil to keep the alien brain waves away! LOL) I used small coin envelopes that came from Staples and trimmed the open end. Then I wrapped foil tape (the kind used by heating companies to repair ducts) down one side and up the other to completely encase the envy. I trimmed all around and then ran it through my cuttlebug. They looked so neat and were such fun to make I got a little carried away! Now everyone in my family will get a few in their stocking at Christmas LOL The foil can also be coloured with alcohol inks like the one at the bottom. I don't know if they will work or was it just another reason to use some of my embossing folders!

So pretty! Yeah, I've been hearing about that too. Even if they don't work, they sure do dress that precious plastic up so nicely. I love alcohol ink on foils.

And they would make lovely envelopes to give a gift card in. Absolutely exquisite! TFS

WOW! These are gorgeous. That is down right scary to think that people can get your personal info from radio waves when your cards are tucked in your purse! YIPES! I LOVE the alcohol inks on the bottom one. Just stunning. TFS.

Fabulous, Sue!! Not only are they great looking, but VERY practical too. Love the embossed designs to "dress them up". A most welcome stocking stuffer. (I bought some paper-looking ones at great expense.)

What a super idea...:0). My daughter DID have her cards stolen ....well not stolen, they WERE in her purse the whole time, but someone got her numbers and rang up her cards so bad, and took her months to fix things, so Hoping this might work and if not like the others said they are so pretty and make nice gift card holders if nothing else...super job and idea...so pretty, and I do like the coloring on the one too...WOW,.,,,thanks for sharing...:0)
