Okay, I will admit that I; like many others, am totally hooked on the 50 Shades Of Grey books by E. L. James!! Due to the fact that I listen to my books as I’m crafting and at work – I’ve listened to them MANY MANY times now. LOL I have had to explain to my mom why I like these books so much. Just as I will explain to you now…and trust me, I suck at explaining books!!! Now, if you plan to read these and have not do not read the next paragraph or I will spoil them for you!!!
I love these books because they depict the healing of victims of abuse. Child abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, etcÂ… I fit in a couple of these categories. I do believe that is why IÂ’ve attached myself so much to the STORY of the book, no simply all of the sex!!! Yes, if you were to take all of the sex out of these three books you may not even have one book. LOL The nice thing about listening to them is that I can fast forward through those scenes if/when I choose. I love how he helps her heal just as much as she helps him to heal.
Okay, you can keep reading now! LOL I took several things from the three books here, I went with the “musical interlude”, the Seattle Skyline, and the Birthday gift she gives him…I went with her blue bra and matching panties just for the fun of it.
In the play I’m performing in – it is a comedy parody of A Christmas Carol…one of my lines has to do with the fact that Scrooge and I broke off our engagement when he was younger (like in the original movie), I run into him for the first time in a long time and have a line about how bad I felt after running out on him – I’ve added the line “why couldn’t I just take a little pain for my 50 Shades?” I’m thinking that it will still be family friendly, but the ladies should get it! haha
This is a Sassy Studio Designs image that is free this week over at Paper Craft Planet – they are doing a blog hop too! I wish I’d read the entire post before making this creation…the challenge with it was to use black, white, and gray Well, I used black and white on here…but Oops, no gray and loads of other colors!
