There are a handful of special people on this site that have touched my heart with the talent and stories they share. This week, one of those treasured friends has been honored as Queen for the Day. Glowbug, Chris, my Sister, I am naturally drawn to your work for the heart and faith you express. Your friendship is a blessing in my life. You were so encouraging to me in my ODBD days, and I still smile to think of how you (and Sister Grace!) got me through it all! Mercy, I knew nothing of blogs, design teams, etc. and yet, you patiently and kindly held my hand through it all, and even uploaded my work when our first grandson was born! Bless your heart! I chose this card, for the sheer beauty, and also because the focus is on the Word. However, I needed a card for my Pastor, so I changed it to a masculine card, but kept your design. Thank you Sister, for all you bring into this place. LYMI, lots!
Shepherds, I am thankful to have one of the best! Last week Dale's sermon was on “Fishers of Men”, and this week was about casing your nets on the right side, so I smiled to use this netting like material in place of the lace Chris used. The pewter button is interesting, because no matter which way it is placed, the word HOPE can be read. (Shh...it was a tie tack in it's former life...thanks to the Mister for this embellishment!) Scripture is computer generated, and I used leaves in place of the dragonflies.
Chris, enjoy your week sweet friend!
HERE is the video archive from where I go to church, if you'd like to hear this incredible teacher!
Thanks for looking!

A lovely card Pat, but I agree that one can only be inspired by Miss Chris (Glowbug)....I have admired her work for a long time and agree she is a patient, kind, loving women....she for sure lives out her faith boldly. Great card that your pastor will surely appreciate - love when things like a tie tac are reused...Hugs.

You know your shepherd is going to LOVE this. The Master Shepherd loves your heart as you encourage His teacher. I listened to Dale today, but I'm on the Forgiveness messages. Can't wait to hear about fisher's of men. We got an amazing word art with that verse when we decorated the church 2 years ago. MY!! The things you keep tucked away and then the Lord tweaks your memory and says "remember that tie tack, it would be perfect for Pastor Dale" and away fly the creative hands and heart. What a beauty to honor Chris, who does have such an amazing gallery. Love the "fish net" and I see you are casting out a net of your own. Hope somebody links up. Many blessings ttmab.

Outstanding case!!! Chris's (Glowbug) style is so gorgeous and romantic, I thought for sure you would make one of your OTT fabulous lacy cards, but instead, You make a BEAUTIFUL masculine card!!! That is so impressive! LOVE your scrioture, which will no doubt mean so much to your pastor!!! The tie tack is so cool! I LOVE that you can read "HOPE" from any direction! Amazing! This really is beautiful and it's easy to see, it not only is a wonderful case, it comes from your loving heart!
Oh Pat, I am close to tears reading your description of this card.
You can't be as much of a newbie as I am, because I don't even know what ODBD stands for. All I know is that you have created something spectacular for someone special in your life. This is gorgeous and the scripture is beautiful.
