I'm finally doing last Monday's Technique Lover's Challenge which really appealed to me - Acrylic Block Collage. I enjoyed doing it so much I'm going to do some more cards using it. But it was more challenging than I thought at first as it was tricky to get a nice background block.
After a few attempts, I was finally satisfied with this one.
I used Distress markers markers on the acrylic block as I seemed to get a better result than with ink pads. And while it was okay as a one layer card, I didn't love it that way, but once I cut it down and layered it with a simple red border and an embossed holly background, I really liked it.
The holly berries are done with red Smooch - my first time trying Smooch - what a great product!

Susan, this is beautiful! I love the softness of the background stamping and collage and also the fine lines of the top holly stamping. It's real beauty~! Into my favs!
