Here is my card for the Red, Black White and another color, Christmas card challenge.
It may be hard to see in the photo but the little piece of greenery is from my cedar tree in the back yard. I zapped it in the microwave for 20 seconds to dry and preserve it. Then painted on a little glossy accents to strengthen it. Once dried, I added a little white embossing powder to give it a snowy effect.

hey awesome idea using your own tree branches...did it ever work neat. love how you snowed it up..:0)...and also love that deep rich red on the pretty ornaments...beautiful job withe the challenge...TFs..:0)

Dang!!! Oops, I meant dang g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! Way to represent a challenge sweet friend! Mercy Kelly, you said you had to work in the yard, but I didn't know you were "harvesting" for card embelli's! This is wonderful. Lovely composition, beautifully blinged ornaments, and awesome shape too. Girl, you have it all! So glad you made it! (Smiles)

Whoa! Microwaving on a card?! That is awesome! I am gonna have to try that. I bet your card even smells Christmas-y with the cedar on there. What a great idea! Red, Black, and White are some of my favorite colors....GO DAWGS! We gotta BIG game today too ;) Thanks for sharing this beautiful card....seriously, you are gonna be the McGyver of the card world aren't you? lol!
