Stef's site for today's inspiration was Empirical Style. Many vintage items to choose from. I chose a not-so-vintage PRINT by Charley Harper. I say "not-so-vintage" since I met him in the 80's at a local art gallery where he was having a showing. I chose this print mainly for its fall colors, and did find an stamp that had a little bird in it. I always think of his work as capturing the essence of a species with its distinguishing features in a "CAS way".

Sallie, I love all shades of pinks and greens together - so this naturally caught my eye. This a beautuful inspired card, from the dps to your wonderfully colored image. And the distressed and sponged edge adds the perfect finishing touch!

love it....love it all Sallie....I think we should have been beside each other in the gallery together again cause it looks like your distressing colour is the same as mine.

Oh Sallie, you name dropper you! HA! How fun that you actually got to meet this artist! I really like your vintage take on his piece. The soft colors and sponging really make this image glow (it's all about the light)...and paired with that lovely muted plaid (I'll take a scarf in that fabric please) it's a little fall festival unto itself!

Wow! I have been behind in my commenting and gallery gazing lately, but this sure popped out at me! Your coloring is gorgeous....as usual....you have such a talent with that! (I am still drooling over that bird you colored how long ago?...lol) I always love to see what you are gonna come up with next and you never disappoint! ;) Another wonderful creation, Sallie!
