Hi friends and welcome to the October 2012 Creative Crew projects designed to inspire you!
The theme this month is stepping it up. Each design team member will showcase you a clean and simple project and then step it up.
For the Catalog Focus assignment, we are to create on tags or ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) using Occasion stamps from pages 32-57 in the current Idea Book & Catalog.
A little background here on my struggles this month; I've moved, been on the OR table 4x, gathering up 2011 tax info as it was a relo year, unpack, find my craft room and try to put that together - it's all been a nightmare SO this explains the quality of my picture AND I'm still trying to get used to this Mac and don't know a thing about it. I can't find my light box either! I also have my best friend from high school flying in tomorrow too which I think is what the doctor ordered.
I wanted to use a few other stamps sets with a couple of great ideas swimming in my head but couldn't find them! Very frustrating. I do hope you enjoy these.

CLEAN & SIMPLE
For my clean and simple tag, I colored directly onto the stamp using the colors above, stamped my sentiment, punched a shape from Modern Label and folded it over, punched a hole in the center of that and then threaded some Linen Thread through it.
STEPPED UP
For my stepped up tag, I stamped the balloons onto Whisper White card stock and cut out the shapes and colors that I wanted to paper piece onto my tag. The balloons were adhered in a variety of ways with Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots, and Snail Adhesive. I then cut a 1-1/4 x 2 piece of Patio Party Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the bottom of the tag. I used the the Modern Label punch with a piece of Patio Party Designer Series Paper at the top of my tag, punched a 1/8" circle at the top and threaded through a piece of Linen Thread this time tying it into a semi-bow. I also fussy cut the top corners to look more like a tag. I placed the tag into an Argyle embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot adding some fabulous texture to the tag. To finish my tag, I adhered 3 various sizes of Basic Jewels Rhinestones.
