I have long-admired the gorgeous rolled-flower cards in this gallery and wanted to make some as Christmas cards this year.
Because I wanted to see if they would survive the US Post Office handling in an envelope (rather than making a box for each one), I decided to mail one to myself. I put it in a slightly-larger envelope and put a cardstock collar around the flowers. Off to the P.O. I went, and was shocked that the postage would be $1.95!!!! Guess I'm going to have to hand-deliver these or take out a second mortgage. I won't know for a day or 2 if it even survived!

With a beautiful card like this, you sure would want it to arrive in good condition so I guess hand delivery may the only way to go. Holy cow, the post office sure charges enough!!

Your Christmas cards are gorgeous! I love the rolled roses. (It might be interesting if you posted a picture of what your card looks like when you receive it back in the mail. I hope those beauties survive!).
