What a FUN challenge today! This was for TLC396 and Flourishes sketch challenges. The SCS challenge was to make polka dots instead of using printed paper. There are a lot of ways to do it, but I chose to make my bg paper using a brand new pencil eraser and three colors of ink on Very Vanilla CS, over which I stamped and embossed in gold a script stamp, then I sponged SU More Mustard and Distress Ink Vintage Photo over that. I embossed the green panel with SU's Snowburst ef and punched out red dots with a paper punch and glued them to the centers of the snowflakes. The image is colored with Copics and watercolor pencils and applied chalk around the image and inside the hurricane. The two layers of scallops are made with red CS and gold glitter paper, though unfortunately the gold doesn't show well in the photo. This was SO much fun and now I have another to add to the Christmas stash. TFL!!

First of all, I love that hurricane lamp/candle holder. What a pretty image! But your polka dots made with the pencil eraser look great interspersed on your DP. Such a lovely card.

I too love your hurricane lamp. I love old fashioned and especially at Chirstmas. Your little polka dots look like Christmas lights on your paper. A really clever way to make polka dots!
