I was inspired by the argyle purse on page 44 of the March 2006 issue of PaperCrafts. Their purse uses an entire 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock and a lot of ribbon. I sized the project down. This version uses 1/4 of a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 CS and 20" of ribbon. I filled it with the mega M&Ms that match the Rich Regal colors!!

Very cute! I love it. I can't wait to try this out. This might be my M&T for my stamp club! I did see this in the magazine. Thank you for the instructions - and conserving paper! I don't have enough glue dots...do you think crystal effects would work just as well?

Wow--I just tried making it right now here next to the computer and it was so easy. I haven't done the ribbon but the box itself was simple. All the other directions made it seem more difficult. Thanks so much!

This is adorable! I already did one of the "standard size" shown in Paper Crafts which use the entire sheet of cardstock and 2 17" strips of ribbon (which I agree is a LOT!) so I am thrilled to find a pint size version and it's so cute, too. One thought I had was to substitute a strips of cardstock crimped and glued together (or sticky stripped or whatever) so it looks like faux grosgrain instead of the ribbon. Would be a much more affordable project that way but I haven't tried it to see how it looks, I have often substituted crimped cardstock strips for grosgrain on CF's and it looks fine, guess I should get off the 'puter and start experimenting.
