Haven't had a chance to do much stamping and definitely not on Saturdays lately, but the Inspiration Challenge is one that I've really been missing! Today we took a trip through French Garden House's site to find our muse for the day. I'm a big fan of blue and was drawn right away to this awesome china http://www.frenchgardenhouse.com/catalog.php?item=2409. I'm in need of a bunch of thank you notes for all my friends/family who helped with the wedding of my DD last Saturday. I wanted a design that would be rather quick so I decided to pull out my Very Vintage wheel. I went with my new fave blue, Midnight Muse. I then squished some ink into the lid and used a paint brush and the ink to watercolor some extras. I then used a white gel pen (and black marker on the butterfly) to go back and add some highlights. I cut and popped a butterfly, but if I'd worked the wheel better and had a full butterfly image I wouldn't have bothered (more encouragement to brave unmounting my wheels for more control!!!). I added a quick sentiment and some Midnight Muse framing and my CAS thank you was complete!

Really pretty..I had no idea that was done with a wheel..and I love the little extra watercoloring you did. This is a fabulous thank you and one that cold easily be duplicated (though no one would know).

I sure have enjoyed getting to see some of the items for your daughters wedding that you have posted!!! Everything has been so gorgeous!!! And now the Thank You notes are so pretty too! You have made a lovely collage with your wheel stamp! I LOVE the added hightlights and low lights on your delightful butterfly!!! And having the other butterfly half off of the card is perfectly fine!!! It reiforces that the movement continues on. I LOVE that!!! Fabulous card!!!
