For queenofinkland: “If I only had a…” - I wanted to use a word that rhymed with brain. Background is watercolors and paper piecing.
For mrslaporte: “Blue Jeans” - I didn’t feel like working with denim, so I went with Jean Harlow. I played with colors, cut out the pictures, and was originally going to mount them on individual cardstock rectangles, but came up with this design after pushing paper around my table for a while.
For prairiejen: “Favorite movie” - the original Willie Wonka is a favorite of mine. The lady stamp is from Viva Las Vegas Stamps—I’ve used her many times before. She’s stamped on an acetate sheet that was printed with the word “destination”. I just used the last two letters and flipped it around.
For gottaproduce: “It should be an Olympic sport” - I cut out and glued together different pictures to make a new event. Flower soft at bottom. The background paper (also used for Blue Jeans) was a gift from gottaproduce—it’s a wonderful shimmery textured blue—thanks, Sandi!

Clever and creative! I love not only the skill and talent you used in the cards but also the "out of the box" interpretations of the themes. Outstanding.
