My sweet friend Bev passed away earlier this year. I've made my grands x-stitched Christmas stockings & Bev, who was a quilter, was kind enough to make an inner stocking & backing for them. I would do the finishing hand work. I've kept the pin as it was one of hers & she gave me this fabric. I'm on my last stocking & have no idea how I will finish it as I don't machine sew.
The dp is from my Christmas stach & the stamp is unknown from the $1 at Pat Catan's.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.
Note to Sallie - I had this idea as soon as I saw the challenge. I know you took the same walk down memory lane. Hugs

Ah my heart aches to know that you are missing your friend. It's interesting what little things come to mean so much to us- a piece of fabric or a pin. I go through the same thing with my sister. I think it's wonderful that this card is a tribute to her as it sounds like she was a creative person who would appreciate this. Just lovely.

Karen, your "memory" CAS card is very special. It's sometimes those little things that end up meaning so much to us. What a wonderful collaboration you and your dear friend had. Love your precious Christmas stocking with her pin and the lovely bright pink bg. Hugs, Sallie

Wow - I love how you used such a treasured item on your card. So sweet. Makes this card even more special than it already was. Great idea!
I know how little things can mean so much. My mother gave me a little scrap of paper the other day that had my great great grandmother's name written on it (I was named after her). I am going to frame it and hang it in my crafting room.
I wish I could sew and finish those up for you! Hugz!
